![]() I was surprised by how the facts seemed to flow together-frequently I am disappointed by books I receive to review because there are too many inconsistencies and plot devices used in ways that make no sense and vital points that are skipped in the interest of space. The book is very fast paced and an easy read. What follows is Toni's attempt to draw on her former Marine skills to remain calm as she is threatened, her family is threatened, and even her students are threatened while those that can be implicated by the files on the drive try to find and destroy it. The man she found places a 4gig jump drive in her pocket with his final act, and the fun begins. Little does Toni Teitelbaum realize the way her life shall change just from chasing her rebellious student. This is how the book opens-with a California student visiting with his class, and the teacher running after. I cannot for the life of me imagine if I had run off (as was my habit) and stumbled across an almost dead person lying near one of the memorials.
